{"id":12404,"date":"2017-10-27T23:11:31","date_gmt":"2017-10-27T12:11:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/act\/?p=12404"},"modified":"2017-10-27T23:11:31","modified_gmt":"2017-10-27T12:11:31","slug":"locals-looking-to-qualify","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/act\/news\/2017\/10\/27\/locals-looking-to-qualify","title":{"rendered":"Locals looking to qualify"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Canberra players\u00a0<strong>James Frawley\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Dimitri Morogiannis\u00a0<\/strong>will be looking to win through qualifying as the\u00a0<strong>Apis Canberra International\u00a0<\/strong>commences at the Canberra Tennis Centre on Saturday 28 October.<\/p>\n<p>Frawley who is currently ranked 909 in the ATP rankings will take on Victorian\u00a0<strong>Matthew Dellavedova\u00a0<\/strong>in the opening round of qualifying. \u00a0Morogiannis who received a last minute wildcard into the tournament will face\u00a0<strong>Michael Look\u00a0<\/strong>(QLD).<\/p>\n<p>A number of high profile players will also feature in qualifying action with world number 245\u00a0<strong>Omar Jasika,\u00a0<\/strong>the top seed. \u00a02015 Canberra International champion\u00a0<strong>Ben Mitchell\u00a0<\/strong>(QLD) will also play qualifying along with former top 200 players\u00a0<strong>Greg Jones\u00a0<\/strong>(NSW) and\u00a0<strong>Matthew Barton\u00a0<\/strong>(NSW).<\/p>\n<p>Qualifying action will commence from 10am.<\/p>\n<p>The Apis Canberra International 2017 is on at the Canberra Tennis Centre until November 5 2017.
