Tennis ACT is committed to providing competitive play opportunities for tennis players of all levels in the ACT. Women’s Tennis League provides individuals with an opportunity to play in a women\u2019s only league at the Canberra Tennis Centre, offering two exciting pathways:<\/p>\n

Social (Wednesday 6:30pm):<\/strong> Perfect for those looking for a fun and relaxed way to play tennis, meet others and stay active. Flexible scheduling and a welcoming environment make this the ideal choice for social hitters, lapsed players and those short on time.<\/p>\n

Compete (Wednesday 7:00pm):<\/strong> Designed for women who want a more structured and competitive experience. Whether you\u2019re a seasoned player or ready for a challenge, this pathway offers a competitive atmosphere and UTR grading.<\/p>\n

PLAYER INFORMATION – SOCIAL<\/h3>\n

Entry Fee & Entry Requirements: <\/strong>Entry fee of $15 (per week) or $90 to sign up for the season. Please email actcompetitions@tennis.com.au<\/a> if you wish to register for the season and payment will be collected during the first week. Players will need to have a Competitive Player Profile (CPP) to participate. To set up a CPP, please follow the link\u00a0HERE.<\/a><\/p>\n

Registration Process:\u00a0<\/strong>Registrations for each Wednesday will close two days prior. Tennis ACT will schedule matches for the Wednesday sessions and communicate draws to players via Match Centre & Email. The competition is offered as a flex league, meaning you can sign up for the weeks that suit your schedule or commit for the whole 8 weeks. Matches will be played on Wednesdays between 6:30pm \u2013 8:45pm at Canberra Tennis Centre.<\/p>\n

Teams:<\/strong> Players will be able to register as a team (pairs) or individually. Tennis ACT will be able to assign doubles partners for each week.<\/p>\n

Season Length<\/strong>: 8 weeks<\/p>\n

Times: <\/strong>6:30-7:30pm. Players are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early if you wish to warm up.<\/p>\n

Location<\/strong>: All 8 rounds will be hosted at Canberra Tennis Centre in Lyneham.<\/p>\n

Structure:<\/strong> Players will play two doubles rubbers with the same partner against two different teams. The Match format will be one (1) set, first to six (6) games, with a first to 7 Tie-Break at 6-6. Roughly matches will take around 30 minutes each.<\/p>\n

Age:<\/strong>\u00a0Minimum age of 16 as at final day of competition.<\/p>\n

Draws & Results:<\/strong>\u00a0Tennis ACT will update the weekly draw each Tuesday and notify all players who are entered into that week\u2019s play. Players will be able to see results online at\u00a0Match\u00a0Centre<\/a>\u00a0(once published). All results are UTR verified.<\/p>\n
