Adult Pennant

Adult Pennant is an inter-club competition for club members offering competitions for adults. It is offered throughout the year on various days of the week and is a great way to engage with your local tennis community on a regular basis.

Please note that there will no longer be red and blue divisions in pennant and that divisions will be decided by the pennant coordinator and the grading committee based on the level of entries received. This means that you may nominate your team as division 2, but you may be placed in division 3.

To be able to play in a Tennis ACT pennant competition, players first need to join a club.  Once you have decided which competition you would like to play in, place your name on the relevant sign-up sheet in your clubhouse [or below for up coming terms] with your registration number and contact phone numbers.  Adults should contact your club captain who can advise which grade would best suit your ability and also advise you of the club’s team selection and grading policy.

There are a variety of pennant competitions available which cater for a variety of standards.  You will need to make yourself available for the whole competition, otherwise you should sign up as a reserve. All players must be a financial member of a Tennis ACT affiliated club. Once clubs have finalised their teams, the entries are sent to Tennis ACT. Approximately one week before the competition starts, your team captain will contact you and give you details of where you will be playing on the first week.

If you have any questions regarding pennant, please contact Tennis ACT Competitions & Tournament Coordinator, Brittany Hughes on [email protected] or (02) 6160 7800
