The Tennis for Primary Schools workshop is a practical workshop suitable for all teachers who are interested in delivering tennis in schools. Participants will have the opportunity to practice a range of games specifically designed for large groups of student from Foundation to Year 7 and 8.  Differentiated learning that caters for the developmental readiness and individual needs of all students within a limited playing area using modified equipment will be emphasised throughout the workshop.

The Tennis for Secondary Schools workshop is a practical workshop suitable for all teachers who are interested in delivering tennis in schools. Participants will explore Tennis Australia’s newly developed Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education (AC:HPE) aligned Tennis for Secondary Schools resource. Underpinned by the promotion of lifelong physical activity, the resource comprises of four pillars and associated components. Throughout the workshop, participants will be introduced to the key features of each lesson in the resource including: learning intention (what students will ‘know’, ‘do’ and ‘understand’), achievement standard(s) and content description(s), pre-assessment activities, focus questions, ‘awareness talks’, pre-lesson ‘focus on’ activities, scaled challenge points and post lesson ‘explore’ activities. These aspects will be framed in a series of engaging modified games and assessment tool activities from three of the four pillars of the resource

In some instance, workshops maybe be ran for a longer or shorter time in accordance with your local teacher education standards authority. For example the NSW National Employment Services Association (NESA) requires five hours of teacher professional learning (TPL) for courses.
