Tomorrow’s Final will be an all Czech affair after qualifier Marketa Vondrousova (CZE) defeated second seed Tamara Zidansek (SLO) in an upset straight-sets win 6-1, 7-5. In the second semi-final, Marie Bouzkova (CZE) defeated eighth seed Viktoria Kuzmova (SVK) in a tight three set match 6-7 (1), 6-3, 6-1.

The Final is set to be a thriller, with both players coming off some solid performances over the last few months.

Despite her unseeded status, Vondrousova is in red-hot form after a superb start to 2017, winning both the $15K Stuttgart-Stammheim Tournament and $25K Grenoble ITF Pro Tour event in January. Likewise, Bouzkova is coming off a solid 2016, winning four Pro Tour Singles titles, and making the Semi Finals of the Burnie ITF Tournament last fortnight.

The Final will commence at 11am on Sunday.

Qualifying matches for the Perth Tennis International #2 also commence tomorrow, with a total of 49 matches being played throughout the day.

The Perth International #1 and #2 is part of the Australian Pro Tour, a series of professional tennis events that bridge junior events and the ATP/WTA Tour, providing an opportunity for players to earn their first world ranking points.
