THE DOWN-LOW ON BRETT….

Born in Boston and raised in Rhode Island, Brett is Tennis West’s resident American, on a mission #maketennisgreatagain. Like any Bostonian, Brett played baseball growing up but around the age of 13 he started to really excel at tennis. He began touring around the states playing against tennis stars such as former world No. 4, James Blake, and was scouted to play for the prestigious sports college, Merrimack.

After stints working in Major League Soccer and in Baseball, for the San Francisco Giants, Brett leapt at the opportunity to return to Tennis when a job opened up at the American Tennis Hall of Fame. During his time there he realised a childhood dream by getting to meet Andre Agassi during his induction ceremony.

Since arriving in Australia, Brett quickly fell in love with our people and culture and, although the Adelaide Crows are still waiting for his membership application, he is set to marry an Aussie lass later this year and thus well and truly settle into the Australian tennis family.
