On the 2nd May 2015 the first Super 10’s Challenge Day was held at the State Tennis Centre.

 

A little over 60 athletes ranging from as young as 7 years to 10 years old and 4 Talent Development Coaches , National Academy Head Coach, State Academy Head Coach and Coach and Talent Development Manager were all present at the event.

 

The athletes were placed into groups then assigned a coach and court who toke them through a warm up then went straight into challenging and competitive drills and point play situations. A mix of half court singles, full court singles and doubles was played during the 4 hour Challenge Day.

 

From the total number of athletes 16 boys and 16 girls will be selected to participate in the Super 10’s Competitions which runs from May 23rd to June 20th. All other players will have an opportunity to participate in the SuperB 10’s competition giving all athletes competitive development opportunities.
