The 2015 Tennis League Forum was held on Thursday 30 April at the State Tennis Centre. Over 60 club representatives attended this forum, which focused on key areas such as the Fast4 Format, ATL, WA State League and the improved functionality of CTR and League Software.

Kim Kachel, Manager of Competitions and Tennis Australia, along with Tennis Australia Competitions Development Manager, David Hearne presented at this forum, along with Tennis West Tournament and Competitions Manager, Loretta Hughes.

The main topics of discussion were as follows:
1. Fast4 – Purpose, benefits and value proposition.
2. League software update.
3. CTR improved functionality,
4. Asia-Pacific Tennis League 2015,
5. WA State League,

Late last year, Tennis Australia engaged an external company to review their competition management system. A significant part of this review was meeting with co-ordinators to collect direct feedback to better understand your needs and wants within the system. Thank you to everyone that participated.

The findings revealed some significant opportunity for improved functionality, as well as highlighting a number of limitations with the current system. Tennis Australia is therefore pleased to announce that this coming summer, they will be releasing a new competition management system that better suits the needs of tennis administrators.

Some of the key benefits of the new system include:
. A user friendly modern design
. Logical set up and management functionality
. Season rollover functionality
. Ability to add fill-ins and guest players
. Automated fill-in functionality using SMS and Email technology
. A mobile application for player results entry
. Easy to run internal club and centre competitions
. Custom built system for tennis
. Plus a couple of other exciting surprises.

Importantly, all of the current competitions and data within Competition Planner will be migrated to the new system, meaning you will not lose any of your information.

This is the first forum to ensure that the club’s transition to the new system is as easy as possible. We hope you are as excited as we are about the new system, and look forward to working with you soon.
