Inter-regional Country Championships

The Inter-regional Country Championships is an annual teams and individual tournament played annually in early January over three days at a regional venue in Victoria.

Players are selected to represent their region and compete in events ranging from 45+ Seniors, Open, 22/u and also Junior age groups in singles, doubles and mixed doubles events.

This event is traditionally played on the Friday and first weekend that follows the New Year.

The Inter-regional Country Championships are open to all 11 country regions whose players are members of clubs that are affiliated with Tennis Victoria. Please note that other conditions apply.

The 57th consecutive staging of the Inter-regional Country Championships was held  is coming in early 2013 to Swan Hill Lawn Tennis Club and regions are looking for their best players to represent them.

Approximately 250 players compete at the three-day event that gives players from regional Victoria a unique opportunity to play against some of the best country players from all over Victoria. The Inter-regional Country Championships cater for players in 12/u to 18/u age groups, as well as 22/u, Open and 45+ age groups.
