
Tennis Victoria is committed to assisting the development of junior players through variousprograms that cater towards age and playing ability.
Tennis Victoria has repositioned its player development programs in 2012 to align with the national player pathway. The entry points into the player pathway are through Talent Development activities.
Tennis Victoria delivers the Future Stars Program for players that are 12 or younger. This invitation only program offers training places to a maximum of eight boys and eight girls each school term. This program is designed to accelerate their development and meet Tennis Australia’s National Academy criteria.
Tennis Victoria also runs a Player Support Program for highly ranked Victorian junior athletes aged 12-17. This program is designed to compliment the training delivered by the athletes private coach and supports these players to progress their tennis playing careers to the next level by offering sports science, Tours and tournament support.
For players in country Victoria, Tennis Victoria, has partnership with the Regional Academies of Sport to deliver tennis programs throughout regional eras.
