19 April 2017 | Tennis Victoria

Victoria is set to host the annual School Sport Australia Pizzey Cup at the end of April. Over 120 secondary school players representing all states and territories will converge on Shepparton Lawn Tennis from 29 April to 7 May. The competition format is a teams’ event combined with an 18/u Gold Junior Tour singles only tournament.

Thanks to the support of Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, the 2017 Pizzey Cup team has been able to get in some invaluable practice on grass before competing on the beautifully manicured natural grass courts at Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club. Click here to see the 2017 Pizzey Cup team.

In addition to the Pizzey Cup, Victoria will also play host the annual Primary School National Tennis Championships, known as the Bruce Cup, later in the year in October. From local district trials to representing Victoria, this competition gives primary school students the opportunity to participate in a national event.

More information on the 2017 Bruce Cup team will be made available later in the year.
