Burwood’s Ian Jenkins has been named the latest recipient of the Tennis Victoria Tennis Service Award. Jenkins was presented the award by Tennis Victoria President Gary Clark at the Annual General Meeting held this week.

Jenkins took on the role as the inaugural Tennis Victoria Audit and Governance Sub-Committee Chairman in February 2007, and has continued in that role for the past eight years.

During that time, Jenkins has provided support and guidance to the organisation in the areas of Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, Financial Management & Reporting, plus Investment Strategy.

The establishment of a Risk Register, Debtors Policy, purchase control protocols and the Investment Policy are all products of Jenkins’ hard work and dedication to the sport.

Jenkins Chartered Accountancy experience spans 35 years’, working across small to large enterprises and developing specialist expertise in project work – corporate restructuring, financial management and finance raising.

An active member of the community, Jenkins is the honorary Treasurer of a number of not-for-profit organisations, an active Rotary member and has spent a dedicated eight years as the company Secretary for Beyond Blue.

Tennis Service Awards are presented to those who have demonstrated their contribution to the sport of tennis through devoted and significant service to any one or more of Tennis Victoria’s affiliated tennis clubs and/or associations and/or member organisations.
