5 December 2014 | Tennis Victoria

The final chapter in what was a scintillating Super 10’s Metro Season 2 was wrapped up this week under hot conditions at Dendy Park Tennis Club. Super 10’s is Tennis Australia’s 10&u team based competition that brings together players and coaches in Fed Cup / Davis Cup style. The competition focuses on developing competitors through regular, well organised, high quality and fair competition, whilst promoting teamwork among athletes, teams and families.

The team competition ran over 5 rounds, with 90 players competing for 50 minutes of singles and 50 minutes of doubles each week. Super 10’s is in its fourth year and continues to evolve, and the players continue to develop and have fun in the unique developmental competition. During the competition there were many award winners, focusing on sportsmanship, best efforts, movements, competitiveness and focus on technique.
