26 June 2014 | Tennis Victoria

Tennis Victoria hosted their annual Championships Dinner, proudly presented by ANZ, on Monday 23 June in the Members Dining Room at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.  Over 330 guests from the Victorian tennis community enjoyed a fantastic night honouring our Victorian tennis volunteers and high achievers as well as witnessing some great entertainment.

Sixty-two time Grand Slam Champion Margaret Court told the room of her experiences at Wimbledon over her illustrious career.

The Hon. Damian Drum, Minister for Sport and Recreation presented the big award of the night to Kyneton and District Tennis Club who took home the Most Outstanding Club, Centre or Association award. Former 5 time Paralympian Daniela Di Toro who also was honoured with the Victorian Spirit of Tennis Award. Accepting her award from last year’s winner, Colin Stubs, and joined by inaugural winner Frank Sedgman, Di Toro was clearly overwhelmed and surprised at receiving the award.
