Tennis Australia has partnered with Smart Connections to ensure participants in the Junior Development Coaching Course will also receive a Certificate III in Sport Coaching (SIS30710).

Participants who complete a Master Club Professional will also receive a Diploma in Management under the existing partnership through Deakin Prime.

“We are very excited about the new partnership with Smart Connections and the ongoing partnership with Deakin Prime,” said Alex Jago, Coach and Talent Development Coordinator for Tennis Australia.

“The partnership allows participants in the Junior Development Coaching Course Certificate Three in Sport Coaching and the Master Club Professional Qualification access to extra funding through the Victorian Training Guarantee and also come away with a recognised qualification.”

There are a number of other upcoming opportunities for coaches of all levels to increase their qualifications over the coming months, including an Intro to MLC Tennis Hot Shots course on Friday 22 June at Melbourne Park.

The Intro to MLC Tennis Hot Shots course provides an introduction and orientation to the basics of coaching.

This follows on from the highly successful Cardio Tennis activation at Melbourne Park where over 50 qualified coaches were taught how to deliver a Cardio Tennis program to their club.

Enrolments have also been extended until July 17 for the August Junior Development Coaching Course.
