Tennis Victoria supports the competition opportunities offered by School Sport Victoria.
These school competitions provide our Victorian junior players with the chance to play as a team and, ultimately, go on to represent their state against some of the best junior players from other states. There are two annual school competitions; the Bruce Cup for players in primary school and the Pizzey Cup for players in secondary school.
In recent years, Tennis Victoria has worked closely with School Sport Victoria to align both these events within the annual tournament calendar as well as ensure that, at the national teams event level, both competition provide players with Australian Ranking points.
School Sport Victoria capture all primary and secondary schools into a defined catchment area that begins with district level, then division level, followed by regions and finally conferences that provide every school child with a chance to progress through to their state championship event.
Visit School Sport Victoria’s website for an outline of their country and metropolitan regions or for further information on the primary and secondary schools events.
