The pilot National Tennis League (Vic division) will consist of four men’s and four women’s teams with four players per team (maximum of six players per team nominated for each tie).

Ties will consist of four singles and two doubles matches. The match formats will be the best of two sets (first to four games each set) with a third set tiebreaker if required.
Tennis Australia will be providing base player payments to all National Tennis League (Vic division) players, tiered from No.1 down to No.4 plus an additional win bonus, as well as prize money to the winning and runner-up club teams.
The 2011 pilot National Tennis League (Vic division) consisted of three rounds plus a final (1 vs 2).

The two teams from National Tennis League (Vic division) final held in December 2011, will also go on to represent Victoria in a National Championships event to be held during the second week of the 2012 Australian Open at Melbourne Park.
