Associations Incorporation Reform Act support

The Associations Incorporation Reform Act came into effect on 26 November 2012 and may affect some clubs’ Constitutions. Click here for a brief presentation that was delivered on the Act at the May Metropolitan Club Forum.

Tennis Victoria have identified the following resources produced by the Public Interest Law Clearing House that can assist clubs through the changes:

Consumer Affairs Victoria are the administrative body for the Associations Incorporation Reform Act  and have further information available, including the new Model Rules for Incorporated Associations.

VicSport Workshops

Tennis Victoria has engaged VicSport to deliver workshops for clubs who need further assistance in reviewing their Constitution against the requirements of the Act. There are two opportunities to attend the workshop:

  • Thursday 20 June 2013 at 7pm at Grace Park Lawn Tennis Club
  • Sunday 23 June 2013 at 2pm at Northcote Library

VicSport Club Constitution Updating Service

VicSport is offering a fee-based service to clubs to bring their existing Constitution in to line with the requirements of the Act. Click here for a flyer containing full details of the service which can be distributed to your sport’s clubs.
