Liability Insurance

Through affiliation with Tennis Victoria your club/centre/association is automatically covered under our policy for the following:

- Public Liability for $20 million
- Directors and Officers for $5 million
- Professional Indemnity for $10 million

The above insurances are designed to cover the following:

Public Liability

Covers the club and its members for their Legal Liability in respect of property damage and personal injury. Interested parties such as Shires, councils, and other ground owners will be automatically covered under this policy.

By being an affiliate of Tennis Victoria your club/centre or association is covered under our liability policy in respect to its TENNIS related activities and some ancillary services. Please note that those clubs/centres and associations that run or are involved in other sports such as netball, soccer, lawn bowls, croquet etc. that the liability coverage DOES NOT extend to these activities. For more information, see the Cover Summary. This along with your certificate of currency will provide you with the details of your coverage. Those clubs wishing to extend their policies to cover these non tennis related activities can contact Aaron Tenabel at Marsh on (03) 9936 2603.

Directors and Officers Cover

Protects the club and other insureds for all losses, which the club becomes legally obliged to pay on account of any claim made against the club for a Wrongful Act committed or allegedly committed. Examples of such events that would be covered through this policy include wrongful dismissal & discrimination

Professional Indemnity

Covers the club and any other insured for claims made against the club for actual or alleged breach of professional duty in their activities by reason of any Act, Error or Omission.
This coverage is mainly for those working in a professional capacity such as a coach or a centre administrator, but does extend to advise given by committee members while acting in their committee role.

Please note: An excess of $2000 is payable by any club who has a successful claim brought against them.Clubs can decrease their excess to $500 by submitting a yearly Risk Hazard Audit tp Tennis Victoria. To find out how just visit the Risk Management section in the menu above

What to do if an incident occurs at your club
