Tennis Victoria is the representative body of all affiliated clubs, centres, associations, regions and their members throughout Victoria. As the central administrative body of tennis in Victoria, it is Tennis Victoria’s role to manage, co-ordinate, promote, and unify the diverse facets of the sport. Our contact details are below.
In carrying out this role it is Tennis Victoria’s aim to support and service the affiliates it represents. It ensures the commercial viability of tennis, oversees the development of grassroots programs, manages competitions and tournaments, and promotes tennis at all levels.
The tennis structure in Victoria is broken up into Regions and Associations. The Metropolitan Association and Regional Structure plays an important role in the development of tennis in Victoria.
There are 11 Country Regions which are broken into 100 Country Associations which comprise approximately 700 clubs.
In Metropolitan Melbourne, there are 34 Metropolitan Associations which comprise approximately 400 clubs.
The aim of the local Metropolitan Association is usually to provide the local community with a variety of competition styles and co-ordinate clubs within the boundaries and catchment area of that association.
Several of the larger Associations offer additional programs such as association squads and tournament structures for those players involved in the various competitions, which increases the avenues by which a player can get involved in the sport of tennis.
