Tennis Cares

Tennis Cares is our contribution to community. Providing a social contribution that extends well beyond the court, Tennis Cares shows how the sport can be used as a positive vehicle for change in the community.


Community Grants Program

The Community Grants program supports local community programs across Australia that are working to improve the health and wellbeing of our diverse communities.

Round 2 will have two categories in which applicants can apply:

  1. Small Grants ($1,000 – $5,000)
  2. Expansion Grants ($5,001 – $10,000)

Grants may be available to:

  • Clubs affiliated with Tennis Victoria, Tennis NSW, Tennis West, Tennis QLD, Tennis SA, Tennis ACT, Tennis NT or Tennis Tasmania;
  • Not-for-Profit Organisations (who are delivering programs in partnership with either an affiliated club or TA Coach member); and
  • Tennis Australia Coach Members

Funding Priorities
Community Grants will have a strong emphasis on programs that reach underserved communities, including;

  • Socioeconomic disadvantaged communities;
  • Indigenous Australians;
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities;
  • Geographically isolated communities; and
  • Persons with disabilities.

Key Dates
Round 2 applications will open on Wednesday 1st March 2017 and close Friday 14th April 2017.

Kids Tennis Foundation


Kids Tennis Foundation aims to provide every child in every disadvantaged primary school in Australia with the opportunity to play tennis.





Cure For MND Foundation focuses on funding large-scale, collaborative research and improved care for all Australians with MND. With the aim of expediting discoveries of potential treatments for MND sufferers, and ultimately to finding a cure.



Delivery partners we support are:



Anglicare Victoria’s vision is to resource and empower children, young people and families to achieve their full potential through: the provision of quality innovative services for children and young people; supporting vulnerable families; and the promotion of social justice.

Tennis Australia partners with Anglicare Victoria to provide opportunities for remote or disadvantaged youth. Some of the programs Tennis Australia are involved in include; Sport for Higher Education and Indigenous Academy program. Tennis Australia supports these programs through; assisting with youth camps, hosting leadership workshops, on court activities, tours of Melbourne Park, motivational and career talks with employees.
