23 October 2014 | Tennis Tasmania

As we etch to week two of the Tasmanian Tennis League (TTL) the importance of this weekend’s action couldn’t be higher as those winless teams from round one look to get their season back on track as the pretenders get separated from the contenders across the state.

For the highly fancied Kingston Sea Eagles women’s team they will hopefully acquire the skills and experience of Kathryn Easther as they look to get back on track against the Sharks of Lindisfarne who will be hosting their club carnival day.

On the men’s the Trevallyn Titan’s will look towards its stealth leader in Ken Ho as they too get some much needed experience into their youthful roster. They will look to get a spark from Andrew Roberts and Jono Chapman which will make them a formidable outfit this weekend against the Launceston Rams.

Lastly in the only meeting between two undefeated teams the Launceston Cobras will need all their venom as they make the journey to Burnie to face the Burnie Broncos. Both teams are flying high after round one wins with this match being the feature match of the round. A win here for either team will put them in the box seat to claim the North/North-West conference honours. The men will gain in form Cobra James Bolzonello who has recently made the semi-finals at the Hobart Open whilst the Broncos will hope that Robert Easther has a safe return from overseas in time.

All eight matches over the weekend are sure to provide scintillating tennis action as players get accustomed to the Fast4 format, which is taking Australia by storm.

Get down to your local team’s club and support your favourite TTL team!
