We have some good news for Club members – and it will enable St Therese’s Tennis Club to continue its wonderful history and keep our membership together.
Following a resolution passed at the Extraordinary General Meeting on 1 May, we have made arrangements with the Domain Tennis Centre to hire their courts. Importantly, costs will be covered by Club funds.
This arrangement will begin with a 3 month trial period from 1 June, with the expectation that it will become a longer-term arrangement. Agreed court hire times are based on groups’ current times.
Details are as follows:
Commencement: 1 June for 3 month trial (likely becoming a longer-term arrangement)
Available courts: courts 14, 15 and 17 (artificial grass on Aberdeen Street side; courts are numbered)
Times:
Tues: 9 – noon 3.30 – 6pm
Thurs: 9am – noon 3.30 – 6pm
Simply turn up with your group and start playing!
Once the Domain’s online booking system is in place, individuals will be able to book court times, again with costs covered by the Club.
Non-members playing with Club members are to pay a $5 fee to the Club, and ball fees will continue at $2. Group captains are to collect fees and provide to Treasurer Ros Williams.
St Therese’s will be able to enter teams in the 2016-17 AYC competition, with home games to be played at the Domain on either Tuesday or Wednesday evenings.
Club members will be able to make full use of the Domain’s facilities (tea/coffee, showers, lounge etc).
