Tennis SA supports the competition opportunities offered by School Sport SA.
These school competitions provide our South Australian junior players with the chance to play as a team and, ultimately, go on to represent their state against some of the best junior players from other states. There are two annual school competitions; the Bruce Cup for players in primary school and the Pizzey Cup for players in secondary school.
In recent years, Tennis SA has worked closely with School Sport SA to align both these events within the annual tournament calendar as well as ensure that, at the national teams event level, both competition provide players with Australian Ranking points.
School Sport SA capture all primary and secondary schools into a defined catchment area that begins with district level, then division level, followed by regions and finally conferences that provide every school child with a chance to progress through to their state championship event.
Visit School Sport Australia for further information on the primary and secondary schools events.
