Tennis SA is pleased to announce the following appointments to the High Performance Unit;

Colin Ebelthite has been appointed State Regional Development Coach. Colin has played at all Grand Slams. Colin achieved an ATP singles career high ranking of 209 and an ATP career high doubles ranking of 98, reaching the Rd of 16 in Doubles at the Australian Open in 2011. Since retiring on the circuit Colin has been employed as a Senior Coach with the Evonne Goolagong Foundation and has worked as a Casual coach with Tennis SA. Colin will manage and oversee the State Squad program. He will also become the leader/driver of High Performance in the Regional areas and will be coach of the SA Pizzey Cup team in 2016.

Andrew Waters has been appointed Talent Development Manager for Tennis Australia in Adelaide. Andrew for the past 8 years has been the Manager at the Recreation & Lifestyle Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council. Andrew has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement), is an accredited Exercise Physiologist and has his Junior Development Coaching qualification. Andrew will look after the High Performance side of 12/under tennis within the State working closely with the athletes, coaches and parents.

Tom Mabon has been appointed Physical Performance Coach Intern for a 12 month period. Tom is currently completing his Masters in Strength & Conditioning after completing his Bachelor of Exercise Science and Post Graduate Honours Degree in Strength Training & Nutrition. Tom looks after the State/NIS Strength & Conditioning Program and is the Performance Analyst for the National Academy.

Kylie Baker in May this year was appointed National Academy Psychologist. Kylie previously held this position some years ago and has taken up the role again after Steve Bannon recently relocated to the USA.

Joel Kerley will continue on a casual basis, overseeing the NIS program and will coach within the State Program.

Domenic Marafiote will continue on a casual basis undertaking some special projects.

Scott Smith – National Academy Physiotherapist
Rohan Fisher – National Academy Manager

The National Academy Nutritionist position is vacant with applications currently under consideration.
