Team nominations have opened for the Asia Pacific Tennis League Competition for the 2015/16 season. Any club or association affiliated with Tennis SA are able to nominate a team to be part of the ATL.

The ATL will be entering into its fourth season in 2015/16 and has again evolved to take on a new conference structure in the coming season. South Australia will have two men’s and two ladies teams in a four team pool which also includes one men’s and ladies team from each of Tasmania and Western Australia. The pool will make up half of the South Conference with the other half being made up of four men’s and women’s teams from Victoria. A North Conference made up of teams from Queensland, ACT and New South Wales will make up the ATL Conference stage in Australia.

“It’s exciting to see the ATL continuing to evolve” Said Tennis SA CEO Steven Baldas.

“The ATL is a great opportunity to take elite level tennis out to clubs in South Australia and for our best players to engage with the people who attend ATL matches”

The winner of the South Conference stage will take home a cheque for $12,000 with the runner up receiving $6,000. Most importantly, clubs are competing for a spot at the Asia Pacific finals, played at the 2016 Australian Open where over $150,000 will be on offer for teams from Australia, Japan, New Zealand and the Oceana Pacific region.
