It’s been a hot and blustery singles semi-final day here at the 2015 Clare Valley Tennis International.

Top seed Su Jeong Jang (KOR) and qualifier Jennifer Elie (USA), were the first to take to Centre Court. It was an entertaining match, however Jang managed the difficult conditions well and was just too consistent, going on to take the win 6-1 6-2.

Seventh seed, Pia Konig (AUT) and eighth seed, Yan Wang (CHN), then followed in a match with many twists and turns. Konig raced away with the first set 6-3, however Wang fought back to level the match, taking the second set 6-1. Konig held a 5-1 lead in the final set, before eventually taking the final set 6-3, booking herself a place in tomorrow’s final.

Day 9 will be singles final day, with the match between [1] Su Jeong Jang (KOR) and [7] Pia Konig (AUT) to start at 11:00am. Spectators are encouraged to attend, with free entry over the weekend.
