Murray Bridge are set to host the first Fast4 tournament held in South Australia on the 14-15 December. The tournament titled Murray Bridge Fast4 White Junior Tour will see players in the 10/u, 12/u, 14/u and 16/u age groups compete over the two days using the Fast4 match format. The Fast4 tournaments have been developed to provide a shorter tournament playing experience where players have the opportunity to play more matches.

The tournament is a singles only event with players expected to get a minimum of five matches over the two days.

“Tennis SA are excited to see the Fast4 tournament structure piloted at Murray Bridge as we think it will provide tournament players a more compact and time efficient tennis playing experience while it still give participants the opportunity to earn Australian Rankings Points. The new formats are created to provide shorter matches through the new innovative format and the tournament also provide great value for money as players get multiple matches in a round robin based format.” Said Tennis SA Tournaments and Competitions Manager Ty Allen.

The Murray Bridge FAST4 White Junior Tour is a White level rankings points tournament. Please see below the Fast4 playing format and tournament structure:

Format:

  • Best of three four game sets
  • Five point tiebreak at three all
  • No Let’s
  • No Advantage (Receivers choice at deuce)

Tournament structure

  • Singles only events
  • Round Robin Draws
  • All players to get at least five matches
  • Played over two days 14-15 December
