Tennis SA wishes to congratulate all teams who have competed in the 2014 Tennis SA Health Partners Winter Pennant season and wishes all teams competing in Grand Finals good luck for tomorrow.

The Men’s Premier League Grand Final will be played at Memorial Drive, in what is expected to be beautiful conditions for tennis.

The reigning premiers, Memorial Drive Tennis Club, will line-up with the likes of rising star Yuya Ito and fellow team mates Lawrence Bataljin, Sam Longhurst and Sean Swierk. The Drive is set for a tough match against Trinity Titans who will be coming back for revenge after their defeat against The Drive in the 2013 Grand Final. Trinity will be strong with a list of big names including 2013 Asia-Pacific Tennis League (ATL) players Li Tu, David To, James Ma and Shane Leathem.

The Women’s Premier League will see a re-match of the 2013 Grand Final, with Goodwood Saints and West Lakes fighting for the premiership.

Goodwood Saints will be the home team with a list of exciting and competitive players including the Milner sisters Brooke and Nikki, Evana Bowell and Amber Marshall. Goodwood will take on second placed West Lakes who have a list that shouldn’t be underestimated with the likes of the Petrov sisters Stefana and Jovana, Laura Theil and Catherine Connolly.

All participating clubs are to be commended for the excellent sportsmanship and spirited competition that was displayed throughout the season.

The Tennis SA Health Partners Winter Pennant presentations and wrap up will be held at the Millswood Tennis Complex on Sunday, September 14 from 2.00pm-4:00pm. All players and their families are encouraged to attend this acknowledgement of their club’s outstanding achievements in 2014.

Tennis SA sincerely thanks Health Partners for their support of the 2014 Winter Pennant Season.
