What is MLC Tennis Hot Shots?

MLC Tennis Hot Shots is the fun way for kids to learn how to play tennis. Smaller courts, nets, racquets and low-compression balls make learning easy and gives younger players the chance to serve, rally and score right from the first time they play.

MLC Tennis Hot Shots in Schools

Get your students active and on the court with the MLC Tennis Hot Shots (MTHS) in Schools program. MLC Tennis Hot Shots in Schools is for primary school aged children. The program introduces kids to tennis through fun and engaging lessons.

Why do it?

MLC Tennis Hot Shots in Schools contributes to the achievement of physical education and health curriculum outcomes. It also helps children develop hand-eye coordination and it’s a lot of fun.

How does the program work?

Children are guided through the basics in an introductory session with a local professional coach. This is followed by a four week program, which can be delivered by the coach or the school’s PE teacher with the aid of a Tennis Australia DVD resource.

Each lesson extends the development of fundamental motor skills and builds upon perceptual motor skills that are central to playing net and wall sports.

What makes MTHS easy for kids?

The use of low-compression balls, along with smaller racquets and courts, allows children the opportunity to obtain maximum enjoyment and an immediate sense of achievement.

Our lessons promote activity and are easily modified to suit the needs of each individual.
