Come and Try Day

‘Come and Try Day’ Support Program

Looking for new members? Host a ‘Come and Try’ day!  A ‘Come and Try’ day is an excellent way for your club to promote its programs and services to your local community and schools.  It is also a terrific opportunity for your club to increase membership and for the coach to promote their coaching programs and services.

Promote your Come and Try day

There are lots of ways to promote tennis at a local level to get people of all ages to play, play more often and keep them involved in the game of tennis.

You can market your local club or coaching business and its activities through advertising in local newspapers and at schools, letterbox drops, generating publicity through leveraging your local media, utilising online mediums, such as a website and an e-newsletter, and a range of other ways. To start, personalise the Club Open Day poster and begin circulating around your local community.

Does your local messenger know about your Come and Try da? It is important that local clubs and coaches build relationships with local media in order to generate their own media publicity. While media coverage is never guaranteed we hope the guide: ‘Working with the Media‘ will assist you in gaining increased exposure in your local area. It is geared to help you understand what media is, how it works and how you can better promote your club, service, program or event through a variety of media channels.

Remember, collect the details of the participants on the day so you can contact them afterwards and find out if they enjoyed themselves, and importantly – if they would like to become a member!  Print off a couple Participant registration forms.
