Hervey Bay and District Tennis Association are the winners of a $5,000 tennis grant after taking out Queensland’s Ultimate Club Challenge as part of the AO Tennis Blitz series of campaigns.

The Association’s Ultimate Club Challenge day included an array of tennis activities for people to participate in, ANZ Tennis Hot Shots and Cardio Tennis demonstrations, free coaching offers for new players and a free sausage sizzle. Click here to view a video of the day.

Luke Harvey, from Hervey Bay also went on to take out the Ultimate Coach Challenge after the success of the club’s event. Luke will be travelling to the Australian Grand Slam Coaches Conference and the 2015 Australian Open.

Ayr East State School (pictured) were the winners of Ultimate School Challenge for Queensland. More than 640 kids were involved in tennis activities on the day. The school will also receive a $5,000 tennis grant for their efforts.

The AO Tennis Blitz series of campaigns encouraged people of all ages and abilities to pick up a racquet and have a hit. For more information visit tennis.com.au
