26 August 2014 | Tennis Queensland

Queensland Officials have continued to have a busy time following the mid-year school holidays.

Many of our Officials assisted to service the ITF Junior Tournaments that were held at Burleigh Waters and Kawana. The ITF Junior Tournaments provide excellent opportunities for Officials to continue on their development pathway, just as they do for the players.

Most recently Officials were seen at the UQ Open and Rosebowl. It was fantastic to receive such positive feedback about the Officials following these events. Well done to all involved.

Future Chair Umpires in training
A group of accredited Line Umpires have taken the leap to becoming Chair Umpires after attending an Introduction to Chair Umpires Course (pictured above). Something particiapnts commented on following a practical component of the course was that it’s much harder than it seems! We wish them all the best on their pathway.

Welcome to the team
