Tennis Australia Coach Development prides itself on its world leading coach education programs and education pathway. This is only made possible through its learning facilitators; a group of highly skilled and experienced professionals; who facilitate its courses.
Below is a list of our Junior Development Facilitators:
Matt Limpus
Matt Limpus is a Club Professional coach who has been working with LifeTime Tennis in Brisbane since 2001. He was named Queensland High Performance coach of ht year in 2011, and was one of only 3 nominees for High Performance Coach at the 2011 Newcombe Medal and was a National Club Coach of the year finalist in 2010.
Matt has worked with Tennis Australia as the lead learning facilitator in the Junior Development Coaching Course since 2010. He was appointed to manage Tennis Australia’s International “Young Stars” tour in 2011 and is a current recognised Tennis Australia Talent Development Coach.
Scott Rawlins
Scott has been coaching for over 15 years, making him an extremely knowledgeable and experienced coach. Scott has completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science which has helped him develop and extend his knowledge of both exercise and sport. Over the years Scott has gained both national and international coaching experience, working with some of the top juniors in both Australia and Asia.
Scott is a Club Professional Coach, a Talent Development Coach, a mentor coach for MLC Tennis Hotshots and Learning Facilitator for Tennis Australia, and has experienced coaching success from grass roots tennis all the way to high performance, Scott is currently the Head Coach at the Queensland Tennis Centre.
Elia Hill
Elia was a top national junior and open player who began her coaching career in 2001. Since then Elia became a Club Professional Coach and has coached both domestically and internationally. Elia has previously been based in Asia for 3 years working in Thailand and Hong Kong at their national body – The Hong Kong Tennis Association.
Whilst in Asia, Elia implemented a Talent ID program implementing and using modified equipment as well as training and travelling with national squads. Elia is currently the manager of the Community Tennis Department at Tennis Queensland and also a valuable part of QLDs Learning Facilitator team.
