Cardio Tennis Workshop Announced: Queensland Tennis Centre, Wednesday 29 May

Tennis Queensland Community Tennis in conjunction with Tennis Australia Coach Development is pleased to announce a  professional development workshop featuring the Cardio Tennis brand. Themed, ‘Get in the Zone’, some of the key outcomes desired from this workshop are as follows:

1.       Understanding why Cardio Tennis exists

2.       Understanding what Cardio Tennis is

3.       Becoming proficient in delivering Cardio Tennis

4.       Understanding the logistics of the Cardio Tennis program

5.       Marketing: Understanding the deliverer’s role within national integrated marketing campaigns

6.       Understanding the next steps to get your Cardio Tennis program started

When: Wednesday 29^th May, 2013 – 9:00am to 1:30pm

Where: QLD Tennis Centre, Tennyson, QLD 4105

Cost: FREE

Second Junior Development Coaching Course/Certificate III in Sports Coaching Announced – Brisbane Location!!!!

It is with great pleasure that we announce a second Junior Development Coaching Course for 2013 to be held in Brisbane.

Running from 3rd August to 8th December, this course will be hosted at the University of Queensland Tennis Centre.

We are expecting high levels of interest in this course, so please be sure to complete the above listed form in detail and return as soon as possible. Enrolments for this course close COB 5th July 2013 – NO LATE ENROLMENTS ACCEPTED.

Notes for application:

- Please complete the enrolment form in its entirety, being sure to add as much detail as possible.

- All enrolment forms must include payment details for the enrolment fee. This also includes those who will be completing/interested in completing the course under a Traineeship.

- If you are over the age of 18, a copy of your current Blue Card must be attached.

First Aid – Mandatory for ALL Qualified Coaches

Tennis Australia is committed to improving the quality of coaches of all levels. To ensure the safety and integrity of our sport, the Coach Development team are in the process of streamlining certification into Coach Membership. This began with the requirement of coach screening in 2009-2010. The next development for coach members is that First Aid will be a compulsory requirement of qualified Coach Membership from 1 July 2012.

We have organised discounted First Aid courses with several providers. Please visit the website for more information on the discounted courses in your area.
