Elia was a top Qld junior and open player who began her coaching career in 2001. Since then Elia became a Club Professional Coach who has coached both domestically and internationally. As the manager of the Community Tennis Department of Tennis Queensland, Elia is very excited to lead such a dynamic and exciting department.
Kayla Berry

Kayla is originally from Brisbane and played tennis at State and National level. Kayla earned a scholarship to play Division 1 tennis in the United States, and she received her degree from University of Iowa in 2008 where she studied Communication.
She has a coaching background and has worked in many Tennis facilities around the world.
Tanya Corbett
Community Tennis Officer- Gold Coast

Tanya has a background in tennis, playing as a junior in state and national competition, and has a strong knowledge of the local tennis community. She has worked at several organisations in the sport and recreation industry including Exercise & Sports Science Australia, the Queensland Olympic Council and Womensport Queensland. She also has experience working for major sporting events such as the Gold Coast Airport Marathon and Australian University Games and has been involved in the administration of several junior tennis tournaments on the Coast.
BJ Curtis

BJ Curtis is the CTO for the Sunshine Coast Region. After spending the last four and a half years in the Royal Australian Air Force, he is very pleased to be working for Tennis QLD. He also volunteered earlier this year’s Brisbane International, where he assisted within player services.
Nikita Williams

Nikita has a very strong tennis background, playing for 15 years at both state and national level and coaching tennis for 6 years. She has Junior Development Coaching Qualifications and iscurrently studying exercise and sports science majoring in sport management and exercise med. Nikita is passionate about tennis, and looks forward to promoting the sport she loves and creating opportunities for the tennis community in the Central region. Nikita is based at the Regional Facility in Rockhampton.
Elizabeth Jones

Liz is originally from Sydney, moving to Townsville at age 9. Liz started attending tennis coaching at age 12, and played fixtures competitions from age 15.
Since then she has always been involved with tennis at some level, holding various administrative positions on her local tennis club’s committee.
Liz has an employment background in finance and administration, and also graduated from Central Queensland University with a Bachelor of Psychology in 2009.
Travis Dragojlo

Travis is originally from a small community town called Aloomba just outside of Cairns.
He began playing tennis at the age of 10 and moved down to Brisbane two years ago to improve his skills.
He competed at a high state and national level, and has a strong interest in tennis and has attended several exhibition tours around the state.
Barry Weare

Barry spent the 8 last years working for Queensland Cricket in the role of Regional Cricket Manager.
He has also worked with the Queensland Government as a mobile athlete presenter, where he assisted in the delivery of the Queensland Government’s ‘Get Active’ initiative and Cricket Australia’s MILO Cricket program in schools throughout the state in rural, indigenous and suburban communities.
