What is the Indigenous Tennis Program? The Indigenous Tennis Program (ITP) delivers structured sporting activities and facilitates tennis education opportunities in Indigenous communities.
This Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and Tennis Australia (TA) joint initiative seeks to transfer tennis skills and expertise to empower Indigenous communities to develop and implement meaningful tennis programs that are community owned and driven.
Tennis Australia welcomes you to the tennis Come and Try Day. The tennis Come and Try Day is a great way to have fun and give tennis a real go!
These great days are run by Tennis Australia’s National Indigenous Coach Ian Goolagong and are part of the Australian Government’s Learn Earn Legend! initiative. This initiative aims to encourage and support young Indigenous Australians to stay at school, get that job and be a legend for themselves, their family and their community.
To book your place, register your interest (see table below) at the event you would like to attend.
