The International Tours Program provides junior athletes under the age of 18 with an opportunity to compete internationally against the world’s best athletes. These tours are designed to enhance athletes’ development in their pursuit of a career on the ATP/WTA tour.

The National Selector Committee, on advice from Tennis Australia or a Member Association, may declare a player to be “not in good standing” and thus be regarded as ineligible for selection. Such reasons may vary from a breach in their NA Athlete Agreement or failure to pay previous NA or tour fees.
In considering the criteria for selection, the selectors may in their discretion give weight to “extenuating circumstances”. Extenuating circumstances may include, but are not limited to, injury or personal bereavement.
The International Tours Document outlines the touring opportunities for all Australian athletes. This document will be updated throughout the year.
Every International Tour will see the athlete incurring out of pocket expenses. Representation opportunities are divided into two streams a) National Representation and b) International Tours.
No athlete funding is required because all costs associated with representing Australia in official team competitions are covered by Tennis Australia. To be selected to represent your country is an honour, and an athlete’s ability to be a part of a national team should not be influenced by financial considerations.
The following official team competitions are considered ‘national representation’ at a junior level:
