Sophie Letcher is a member of Brisbane’s National Academy. As a three year old she started to play tennis after watching her older brothers, Chris and Clint, and her parents, Cliff and Cathy, play.

Sophie says her father is her greatest inspiration because “he always supported me and helped me with my tennis enormously”.

Sophie’s ambition is “to become the best player possible and enjoy every moment and challenge of it” and her goal is to one day be the No.1 player in the world. Sophie’s favourite tournament is the Australian Open because, “the atmosphere is amazing and it is great to have such a huge tournament in our home country”.
