After a turbulent period in which she rebelled, got caught up in the law and left the sport, Capriati re-dedicated herself to tennis and was rewarded with her first ever Grand Slam title at the 2001 Australian Open; Getty Images

Jennifer Capriati repeated her Australian Open success in 2002, recovering from 6-4 4-0 down against Swiss Martina Hingis in brutal heat to eventually record an incredible 4-6 7-6 6-2 win, her third and final major title; Getty Images
Capriati let her emotions get the better of her in the 2003 US Open semifinals against eventual champion Justine Henin-Hardenne, falling in a glorious three-hour match that many pundits have hailed the best women's match of all time; Getty Images

2004 proved to be the last year on tour for Capriati, who eventually succumbed to a persistent shoulder injury. Here she is snapped in her 6-0 2-6 7-6(5) semifinal loss at the 2004 US Open to Elena Dementieva, yet another dramatic match that would be her last at Grand Slam level; Getty Images
