Top honours for Nicholl and Bergmann
Two prominent members of the tennis community have received Australia Day 2010 honours today - Des Nicholl and Malcolm Bergmann. Nicholl was recognised for his services to the meat and dairy industries through leadership roles, to the corporate sector through business restructure and reconstruction programs, and to tennis with a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia, while Bergmann received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his service to tennis through administrative roles. In the past he has received an Australian Sports Medal (2000) and was made an Associate Member, International Tennis Club (Australia) also in 2000. Click here for more |
