RODDICK ENDS HEWITT'S RUN

Lleyton Hewitt staged a classic comeback from two sets down to defeat fourth round opponent Radek Stepanek on Monday and secure a place in Wimbledon's Quarterfinals. However American Andy Roddick ended Lleyton Hewitt's Wimbledon campaign, winning an epic quarterfinal battle on Wednesday.

Australia's Samantha Stosur finally broke her second-round hoodoo at Wimbledon, staging a remarkable comeback to beat little-known qualifier Tatjana Malek last Thursday. However, Stosur's Wimbledon dreams were dashed after a straight sets defeat to 13th seed Ana Ivanovic in their third round match last Saturday.

Tennis West would like to congratulate both Hewitt and Stosur on their fine performance.
