LADIES MIDWEEK TENNIS Competition - please note that the competition will commence after the school holidays (28/7/09).

There will be a free Grading Morning on Court 6 at Pennant Hills from 10am on Tuesday 7/7/09 for players wishing to join teams.

Current teams are welcome to book and pay for a court and have a hit on that day.

Membership - Adult Competitions

Membership cost for 2009/2010 financial year is: Adults  $45 - Seniors $40  -  Juniors $30

Could all captains please ensure their players pay their Membership, as penalty points will be deducted for teams who play non-members from 1^st July 2009. Membership can only be renewed at the Administration Office at Pennant Hills. The office will be open extended hours in June. Please organise to pay when your team is playing at Pennant Hills. There will be someone in the office from 7.15pm till 8.00pm of a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening on Comp nights until the end of June. Saturday Afternoon Mixed players are requested to pay at the office before play commences (between 12.30pm and 12.55pm) of a Saturday.  Junior players please note: Junior members playing in the current Afternoon Junior or Saturday Morning Junior Competitions paid their membership with their Competition Fees and do not need to pay.

 

NEW COMPETITIONS

Monday Night Ladies’ Competition  -  Entry Forms are due THIS WEEK for the competition commencing 27th July. A FREE GRADING NIGHT for NEW PLAYERS will be held Monday 29/6/09 at Pennant Hills Courts, commencing at 7.30pm. New players welcome, please contact Terri Cohen for details.

Wednesday Night Mixed Competition  -  Entry Forms due 8^th July 2009 for the competition commencing at mid-August.

Saturday Afternoon Singles Competition  -  Entry Forms are due by 10^th July 2009 for the competition commencing 1^st August 2009. New players welcome, please contact John Eldridge for details.

 

ETDTA Social Tennis Evening – Friday 21/8/09 from 7pm till 9.30pm (weather permitting). Members and non-members invited. RSVP to Mary Baker by 18/8/09 (mary@brison.com.au) or phone Mary on 0421-049-850. Cost $5 per person. Free sausage sizzle, BYO refreshments, and nibblies to share.

 

Court Hire Rates effective 1^st July 2009

The Council of Management of ETDTA has approved increases in Night-Time Court Hire for Casual and Permanent Bookings only. The increase is due to the increases in electricity costs. The new rates are approved by Ryde, Parramatta and Hornsby Councils. This increase does not affect the Competition Court Hire rate.

Pennant Hills Bowling Club  Please complete a Membership Form (available from the Pennant Hills Pro-Shop), and David will organise for your Membership to be paid. Then, you only need to drop in to the Club and organise your Photo ID.  If any friends or relatives are interested in getting FREE Membership to this Club through ETDTA, please get them to complete a Membership Application and hand it to David.   PHBC offers us substantial cash sponsorship if we join up members who use their club.

TENNIS RACQUETS URGENTLY NEEDED  (especially small racquets - any condition)

The Kids Tennis Foundation provides regular weekly tennis coaching for financially and socially disadvantaged children throughout Australia. It aims to provide every child in every disadvantaged primary school in Australia with the opportunity to play tennis. There are in excess of 200 programs with approximately 4,000 children receiving coaching each week, and the program has already introduced tennis to more than 250,000 children throughout Australia.  Racquets can be left at Pennant Hills Tennis Centre.   www.kidstennisfoundation.com
