He has also fared well in Grand Slam mixed doubles competition reaching the third round of Wimbledon 2003 and second rounds of Australian Open 2007, Wimbledon 2006 and US Open 2005. Despite mediocre Grand Slam performances in 2009 – excluding a Wimbledon mixed doubles semifinal appearance with Spain’s Virginia Ruano Pascual – Huss performed strongly on the ATP doubles circuit. His results included reaching the final of the prestigious Miami tournament, as well as semifinals in San Jose and Marseille. Stephen’s favourite country is Australia and his favourite cities are his hometown of Melbourne and Stockholm in Sweden. He has two older sisters, Inglea and Neika. Stephen has a weakness for chocolate and likes all types of music. When not playing tennis, Stephen enjoys golf and AFL, supporting Hawthorn. His sporting idol is Tiger Woods. While on the road Stephen bases himself in San Diego, and when in Australia he trains at Kooyong Tennis Club.
