Intra-Territory Travel Grant Policy

Intent
To increase participation in Northern Territory Australian Ranking points’ tournaments published on the Tennis NT Events Calendar.

Definitions
Applicant is defined as a senior or junior competitor, coach or manager who is registered with Tennis NT through their club.
Coach/Manager is defined as a club appointed, responsible adult who holds a current Ochre Card and has been assigned to accompany registered, junior competitors to tournaments.
Competitor is defined as a player entered in the tournament.

Eligibility
- The tournament must be published on the Tennis NT Events Calendar.
- Applicants must be registered with Tennis NT prior to 30 April in the year the tournament is scheduled, with the exception of previously unregistered players who then must be registered prior to the published entry closing date of the tournament.
- Applicants must make written application on the form available below within one month of Finals Day of the nominated tournament.
- Competitors must enter a minimum of two Australian Ranking points’ events in any one tournament.
- Coaches or Managers must be endorsed by their affiliated club.  
- Each appointed Coach or Manager must have a minimum of three, and a maximum of 10 Competitors under their care.  Furthermore to attract the Travel Grant the Coach to Competitors ratio must not be more than:  2:11 to 20;  3: 21 to 30;  4:31 to 40 and so on.
- The following restrictions apply to competitors:
            Registered Metropolitan Region competitors may only apply for three subsidies with no more than two in one Region; 
            Registered Northern, Central and Southern Region competitors may only apply for four subsidies with no more than two in one Region;
- A Travel Grant will not be paid where a Code of Behaviour infringement has been recorded.
- NTIS Squad members are not eligible.
