Tennis NSW sanctions in excess of 150 tournaments across the state and itself conducts a number of large events for players of all ages.

Tennis NSW Tournament Pathway
Australian Money Tournament (AMT) Open to any age, AMT’s are designed to offer quality match play opportunities and cater for future players and high A grade club players. Prize money and Australian ranking points are awarded in accordance with the level of the event; Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and White.
ITF Junior and Nationals
International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Junior Circuit consists of over 300 tournaments in 115 countries for players 18 years and under. Entries to these events are through Tennis Australia only.
National Junior Championships are held throughout the year. Entries into National Junior Championships events are based on rankings and are limited sized events.
Optus Junior Tour (OJT)
The OJT is an umbrella tour that provides a clear competitive pathway for aspiring tennis players, offering Australian ranking points across 5 levels; Platinum (also knowsn as the Optus National Junior Championships), Gold, Silver, Bronze and White. These tournaments offer points across the 12/U, 14/U and 16/U age groups, with selected tournaments also offering points in the 18/U age groups.
Medibank Junior Development Series
The MJDS consists of a series of round robin events in each region, providing junior players with an introduction to tournament play. Players accumulate points at events with the series culminating in a Champion of Champions tournament in each region, followed by the Medibank State Final. Each region has their own MJDS guidelines, so please refer to the relevant regional website for further information.
NSW State Series
These are participation events for junior players who are looking to compete in tournaments for the first time. The NSWSS consists of individual tournaments, of which the majority use round robin format. This gives all players the opportunity to compete in a number of matches and gain NSWSS point, which are updated on the NSWSS page monthly. The leading boy and girl point scorers as of the 31/12/2013 will be rewarded for their efforts with a trophy, prize and recognition on the Tennis NSW homepage.
