The 2016 PWID Sydney Tennis Championships were held over the weekend at Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre, with some of Australia’s top players competing.

The tournament, for tennis players with intellectual disabilities, attracted men and women from around Australia, with several medallists from the recent INAS World Tennis event in the USA.

Kelly Wren, the current World No. 2 and INAS World Tennis gold and silver medallist, won the women’s singles and doubles while Archie Graham, current World No. 1, also collected the double.

Tournament Director Nikita Sayle said the tournament was a great success.

“This is an annual event for Tennis NSW and once again we saw some truly fantastic tennis from some of the world’s best.

“The PWID Sydney Tennis Championships is a highlight of our tournament schedule in NSW each year and it was great to see participant numbers continue to increase.”

Congratulations to all competitors and to the winners and finalists below.
