Tennis NSW welcomes new staff

Tennis NSW would like to officially announce the arrival of three new staff members to our ever-growing team. After an extensive recruitment process we welcome Lucy Wood, Garth Quast and Daniela Scivetti to the team.

Lucy Wood joins Tennis NSW as Community Tennis Officer – Metropolitan West. Lucy has a degree in Business (Major in Marketing) from Tulane University, New Orleans, USA. Most recently Lucy has been managing and implementing the marketing mix across a portfolio of Eastern Suburbs Tennis Operations.

Additional responsibilities included program planning, schools partnerships and competition coordination. Lucy is a former Team GB junior player who attended University in America on a tennis scholarship.

Previously, Lucy has worked in Europe for Eurosport Television on WTA Tennis partnerships and key accounts. Lucy is looking forward to applying her knowledge and experience to the role to increase the number of kids and adults playing tennis.

Garth Quast joins Tennis NSW as the Community Tennis Officer for the South West region. Garth has spent the past 4 years at the Wodonga Tennis Centre, where he was one of the head coaches for the Margaret Court Tennis Academy (MCTA).

During his time with the MCTA he has been involved in coordinating the junior development program, running squads and implementing the MLC Tennis Hot Shots and Cardio Tennis programs and is a qualified Junior Development Coach.

Garth has spent time travelling and lived in London for two years where he managed a small depot of delivery drivers for DHL Express. Garth is excited to take on the role as South West CTO, and is looking forward to working with schools, clubs and coaches to increase and improve participation levels across this region.

Daniela Scivetti joins Tennis NSW as Competitions Coordinator. Formerly working for Tennis NSW as Receptionist/Administration, Daniela brings a wealth of knowledge and past playing experience to the new role.

Daniela spent a number of years on the international playing circuit, seeing her WTA ranking rise to no.450. Playing in many competition style formats across Europe and America, she has the experience to take on her new challenge Asia-Pacific Tennis League.

She also has an extensive coaching background and is looking forward to strengthening the competition pathway for players in NSW.
