Tennis Australia hosted a Talent Development Camp for under 8’s at St Ignatius College, Riverview on Sunday 18 August.
This is the first camp for this age group and was conducted using low compression orange balls and on a modified orange court. Over 29 athletes participated in the camp which was headed up by the Coach and Talent Development Coordinator, Joe Kubizniak and National Academy Coach, Liam Smith. Also assisting with the camp were Tennis Australia Talent Development Coaches and Hot Shots Mentors.
“It was great to see these kids have a chance to participate in our first 8 and under camp. Through Project Talent, Tennis Australia aims to organise more of these camps which will further engage private coaches and talented kids” said Kubizniak.
