Subway supports tennis initiative

Ulladulla and Milton Primary School kids had the chance to try MLC Tennis Tennis Hot Shots sponsored by their local Subway franchise.

In its second year the MLC Tennis Hot Shots day was highly successful with over 170 children participating in the free event.

South East and Metropolitan Community Tennis Officers, Troy Smith and Andre Bognar, as well as local Coach, Luke Jane, were on hand to provide tips and to demonstrate basic tennis skills to the kids.

Smith explained that it was initiatives like this that would build a strong foundation for participation in the local region.

“It was fantasitc to see that primary school kids were given an opportunity to pick up a racquet and have a hit.”

“It has been a great partnership between the schools and Subway and it goes to show how important it is to support junior tennis”.

Subway and Milton Ulladulla Tennis Club also went one step further by sponsoring six kids each to complete two terms of MLC Tennis Hot Shots.
